We want to get 20, 4-person teams. 2 persons can sign up as 1/2 of a 4 person team. If we get 20 teams: THE KEG WILL BE ON US! Whale Watching!Every spring, over 20,000 California Gray Whales migrate north from their breeding grounds in Baja California to Alaska. The Mendocino Coast provides excellent opportunities to see the whales. Popular sites include the Cabrillo Lighthouse and the Mendocino Botanical Gardens. However, they may be seen from any vantage point, including the beach. The migration peaks in March and April, with mothers and their new born calves more frequent in April and May. Whale Watching Festival!On March 6, 7, 20 and 21, docents at the Cabrillo Light Station will be sharing binoculars and the excellent view! On March 20 and 21, the Fort Bragg Whale Festival will be in full gear, with dozens of microbrews being featured in local establishments! Point Cabrillo Light House Special Tour - May 1!Only 4 times per year, the Point Cabrillo Light House offers close-up tours of its Third Order Fresnel Lens. Marking Mendocino Heritage Days, on May 1, docents give tours every 1/2 hour. Reservations recommended 707-937-6122.
